Crystal Tremblay

Crystal T

Crystal Tremblay joined IRES/EDGES as a Postdoctoral Fellow between 2013-15, exploring the impacts and implications of shifting water governance structures in Accra, Ghana and Cape Town, South Africa, simultaneously providing a powerful narrative portraying the lived experiences of the individuals affected by limited or (in)access to water.  The integration of creative visual methodologies, and use of participatory video in particular, has been at the heart of her research and engagement approach. Crystal is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography and Special Advisor on Community Engaged Scholarship at the University of Victoria, Canada. She has published widely on topics related to community university research partnerships, community-based research, social innovation and participatory policy in water and waste governance.
