Megan Peloso at the Lake Windermere Ambassadors

Megan-Peloso

EDGES alumna Megan Peloso, who completed her MA earlier this year, recently embarked on a new water project in the capacity of a Program Coordinator at the Lake Windermere Ambassadors (LWA) based in Invermere, BC. LWA is an advocacy organization that represents the interests of citizens concerned with water stewardship in the Lake Windermere watershed. Megan’s new role is to manage the diverse needs of the lake and deal with the public who thrive within its watershed. In an interview with the The Columbia Valley Pioneer, a local media outlet, she says: “My new role as LWA’s program co-ordinator is to implement a work plan that builds on numerous workshops and discussions and ultimately seeks to safeguard the health of the lake for years to come.” Megan’s work with EDGES involved two main projects: the Comparative Water Governance in Africa Research Project and Gender Implications of Putting a Price on Water, which have produced one peer-reviewed article (co-authored with EDGES alumna Cynthia Morinville) and a few other manuscripts currently in progress. Keep an eye out for future updates!

The full interview is available HERE.

Well done, Megan, and good luck in your future endeavours!
