Collège de France (Chaire de Microbiologie et Maladies Infectieuses, Paris), PWIAS (University of British Columbia, Vancouver) and  CNRS (Laboratoire d’anthropologie sociale, Paris) are organizing a workshop, titled “Zoonoses and emergence of new infectious diseases: biology meets anthropology”, which will take place on June 10 and 11th.

The goal of this workshop is to identify key factors in the transmission of zoonoses from animals to humans at the molecular, social and ecological levels. We hope that the confrontation of life sciences and human sciences will help to build a common language that will allow to design new modes of investigation on zoonotic risks.
