NEW PUB FROM LEILA HARRIS: A BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS

In a correspondence to the editor of the journal Nature Sustainability, Leila Harris and sixteen other critical water researchers respond to an August, 2021 editorial arguing that little recent innovative research has emerged in water studies, and that the field is overrepresented by quantitative and technically-driven studies. The authors of the correspondence offer the view that innovative research exploring the relationship between humans and water, as well as its politics and plurality, is being conducted, but is not reflected in Nature Sustainability due to the journal’s paradigmatic orientation.
